Accessibility

The herboria.gr website has been implemented following the accessibility specifications, as described in the internationally recognized World Wide Web Consortium standards and defined through the Web Accessibility Initiative at http://www.w3.org/TR/WAI-WEBCONTENT/

Priorities
Each checkpoint has a priority grade assigned to it by the Task Force based on the impact the checkpoint has on accessibility.

Priority 1
A content creator for the web must satisfy this checkpoint. Otherwise one or more groups of users will find it impossible to access information in the document. Satisfying this checkpoint is a basic requirement so that some groups of users can use documents on the Web.

Priority 2
A content creator for the web should satisfy this checkpoint. Otherwise one or more groups of users will find it difficult to access information in the document. Satisfying this checkpoint will remove significant barriers to Web document access.

Priority 3
A web content creator can if they want to deal with this checkpoint. Otherwise one or more groups of users will find it somewhat difficult to access information in the document. Satisfying this checkpoint will improve access to Web documents.

Some checkpoints set a priority level that can be changed under certain (indicated) conditions.

Compliance
There are three defined levels of compliance:

  1. Compliance Level ‘A’: all Priority 1 checkpoints are met.
  2. Compliance Level ‘AA’: all Priority 1 and 2 checkpoints are met.
  3. Compliance Level ‘AAA’: all Priority 1, 2 and 3 checkpoints are met

The herboria.gr website has been implemented following the compatibility specifications at compliance level “AA”.
